SHORT TERM INSURANCE - Differences in quotes

We are often taken to task by members about differing rates. We have four companies with whom we deal. Please ask your members to contact our insurance ladies (see details below) and ask for comparative quotes. One of our providers only uses a call centre to contact members while another only works on personal visits. The latter is represented in seven main centres and will naturally not contact country members. That is where we come in - we will do comparative quotes for those country members if they contact us. Members may also find widely differing rates which are usually due to differing claims experiences in the same area. Two of our providers work exclusively in the over fifty market which has a far better claims ratio than the market as a whole, with the result that they may offer substantially lower rates. It is impossible for us, or our providers, to contact all 84,000 members so it is incumbent upon members to avail themselves of our services by contacting us on their policy renewal date and obtaining quotes from us before simply renewing their policies. It is often the case that their existing insurers will offer to meet a lower rate which we may quote. The question is: why stay with them? They could/should have offered you a more competitive rate before.
