Rand Aid, Elphin Lodge Retirement Village

The Village is set in beautiful, secure surroundings featuring dams with extensive bird life, tranquil walks, spacious lawns and a swimming pool. It offers a total of 119 two bedroom cottages, 40 one bedroom and 64 two bedroom apartments – each with a lock-up garage no more than 30 metres from the cottage or apartment to which it is assigned. These units are available for purchase on a life rights basis to persons aged 65 years and over. On-site frail care is available at The Ron Smith Care Centre.

Elphin Lodge Cottages:
Each cottage consists of 2 bedrooms, kitchen, full bathroom with shower, separate toilet, lounge/dining room, patio and enclosed yard. A lock up garage is no more than 30 metres from the cottage to which it is assigned.
All cottages are north facing, being either south or north entry.
Fully equipped kitchens with ample cupboard space. Provision has been made for a dishwasher, washing machine and refrigerator-freezer.
Telephone sockets.
There are two different sizes of cottages, i.e. 93sq. metres and 101sq. metres, excluding the garage.

24 days per annum recuperation in the frail care centre per unit
The levy also covers the cost of rates, water, insurance of buildings, external maintenance and administration costs. Electricity is charged seperately.
