We have been caring for the elderly since 1989.At Healthcare we believe in the need for a holistic approach to the care of the elderly and frail.  We constantly continue to search for solutions to improve our service delivery in providing quality of life for the resident at whatever care level they are.   Our aim is to provide individual person centred care to the frail and infirm.

Residents can choose what kind of accommodation suits them and personalize it
The rooms available vary in size from private one bedroom garden flatsand single private rooms to two people sharing and four people sharing.Our sharing rooms are spacious and well maintained.The frailcare lounge, dining room and TV room all look out onto large open areas of tended gardens.We encourage residents to bring their own pictures, furniture and other memorabilia to make their room more homely.

Dedicated Alzheimer Unit
The Healthcare Centre has a specialized unit, in a private, secured environment that provides for the needs of persons living with Alzheimer’s disease.  We recognize the individuality of each of our residents and strive to understand their special needs.  It is our aim to protect our residents from any form of harm associated with the disease.  The Unithas its own dining room, lounge area and courtyard garden.  Itaccommodates 12 residents and issupervised by a professional nurse and a team of dedicated, friendly care workers.  Our nurse/patient ratio in the Alzheimer’s wing is 1:3.

We offer 24-hour nursing care
The Healthcare offers a 24-hour nursing care service by a team of committed registered nursing staff and care workers.We have a high staff-to-resident ratio to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care.  The professional nurse on duty monitors the resident’s condition, dispenses all medication, liaises with doctors as the need arises, and supervises the care of the residents.The Healthcare Manager is involved in the day to day running of the facility. Our main foci are care to the elderly frail and residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, but we also offer palliative care to the elderly terminally ill resident.  Clients recovering from post operative hip replacements that are not yet ready to go home, are most welcome to enquire about our facility.

We supply all meals according to the resident’s diet
We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. The menu is discussed with each resident as we provide an alternative to the main menu.Tea or coffee is offered throughout the day at various times.

We offer a range of services at no extra cost
Laundry and ironing are done on site in our own laundry facility. Royalserve manages the cleaning of all public areas and in the units and ensure that hospital standards are maintained.
Residents can make use of our on-site library.Entertainment includes sing-a-longs, “pamper days”, movie days, special tea parties and celebrations of special holidays.

Our optional extra services
Residents can make use of our on-site hairdresser and monthly podiatrist visits at their own cost.
