Villa Sunfield is a small privately run “ home from home” for seniors  which opened it’s doors on the 1st January 2005.  It  is owned and  managed by Derek and Lesley Bossert.  We can accommodate a maximum of 20 residents in private, semi private and sharing  accommodation. 

The main building and outside area is under  24hr CCTV surveillance.

Lesley is a registered nurse and has had many years experience in the geriatric field,  both in S.A and overseas.  Derek and Lesley live on the premises and she is on duty  during the day and on call at night.
Residents are issued with a remote which is connected to a call system in the main building.

Villa Sunfield is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac off the bottom of Broadway; our rooms have en-suite facilities and a T.V. DSTV programmes are available for special requests, the main requests being for rugby and cricket!

Residents  who are in a large private room, may, by arrangement, furnish  with their own furniture.

The majority of our staff have been with us for several years and are all qualified carers with a passion for helping the elderly.

Three balanced meals are provided daily  with special requests such as diabetic, vegetarian,  and halaal also being catered for.  Morning and afternoon teas are served with  sandwiches, biscuits etc Laundry is  done  daily  on the premises.
There  is a church service in the hall next door to us on a Sunday morning  which the residents are more than welcome to attend.

Medical Services

We have a local G.P who attends to our patients when necessary.  Those who wish to continue with their own private doctor are welcome to do so.  The Umhlanga Hospital is approximately 15mins  from here should the resident require hospitialisation.
Routine procedures such as blood pressure  monitoring, dressings, blood sugar checks etc are carried out by the staff. Private physiotherapists are available  on request.

Unfortunately, due to ever increasing costs, items required for wound care etc will be billed at the cost price.
