Care & Wellbeing

Nutritious daily meals are provided. The cost of meals is calculated as per meals required and frequency.

• We provide additional nutritional supplements, the cost of which will be for the Resident.
• Residents have access to beauty, selfcare services and physical exercises and/or service providers, the cost of which will be for the Resident.
• Riverside provides chauffeur services to and from doctors’ appointments, pharmacies and shopping.
• Riverside manages and admits daily medication and arrange packing of medication in blister packs. The cost of medication and blister packing remains the responsibility of the Resident.
• Riverside prides itself on home-based care and related services (including time limited palliative and recuperative care). This service is provided at an additional cost for Resident.
• Riverside arranges access to other Health Service Providers such as Physical Therapists, Hearing Specialists etc. All cost is for the Resident.
• Riverside is proud of its qualified and friendly staff.

About the property at Riverside Retirement Village Cape Town

The Property is owned and managed by Riverside Retirement Village (Pty) Ltd.

• All Units are modern and well designed and are of varying sizes.
• Perimeter security and access control are ensured.
• Riverside provides a leading 24-hour emergency alert system. Please note this specifically excludes all medical costs such as paramedic, ambulance, hospital and medical practitioner costs and charges, which costs and charges will be for the Resident’s direct account.
• Our Residents has access and use of communal property and gardens.
• Riverside takes responsibility for all maintenance of the exterior of all individual buildings forming part of the Retirement Village. Riverside employs a policy of preventative maintenance and prides itself on the condition of our property.
• Riverside ensures the comfort of its Residents, even during the dreaded loadshedding through provision of emergency power for lights, TV and WiFi during loadshedding or general outages. Duration of emergency power will be subject to battery capacity.

Amenities

The amenities provided are:

• Access to WiFi in the Units as well as the communal facilities.
• Subscription to Netflix and access to Youtube.
• Weekly trips or outings the transport for which will be provided for by Riverside but the cost of the outing and/or entertainment will be for the Resident.
• Riverside is one of the few Retirement Villages that allows pets. This is done subject to the Rules of Conduct and approval by Riverside before occupation. All veterinary cost and petfood is for the cost of the Resident.
