At Absolute Care Heidelberg Frail Care we are proud to share many years of expertise and experience in frail and home-oriented care. Absolute Care is an advanced care company that offers day-care, short-term, overnight, and long-term permanent residency, in either an assisted living or frail care setting, in which we offer services specifically catered to the needs of our residents.

We strongly believe that our residents must be comfortable and content in our homes. We see to their medical needs, as well as providing them a feeling of being at home. Our frail care at Advent Haven aims to do just that – making them feel cared for and appreciated.

Our staff is fully trained and skilled in working with patients who live with degenerative cognitive conditions, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and other forms of dementia. We also specialise in assisting patients recovering from strokes, as well as providing services to patients with special needs, such as tube feeding, catheter care, and colostomy bags.

The monthly tariff includes the following:  

Our monthly fees tariffs start at R 13 000.00 per month, dependent on the level of care required, and covers the following:

• 24/7 Professional nursing care.
• Assistance with personal hygiene.
• Assistance with mobility (to and from bathroom, sitting at tables, getting into and out of bed).
• Administering medicine.
• Laundry (up to 20kg/month).
• TV (with a basic DSTV package) and Wi-Fi.
• Cleaning rooms and making beds.
• Cleaning of wardrobes.
• Games, for example, card games, sudoku, word games, puzzles, board games, as well as other crafts, such as colouring.
• Six nutritional meals per day (three meals and three snack time meals).

This tariff does not include sundries or consumables (such as nappies, gloves, bandages, Doctor visits or Specialist visits etc).

A non refundable administration fee of R 4 500.00 is payable upon admission.

Healthcare Services at Absolute Care Heidelberg Frail Care and Assisted Living

Over the years, Absolute Care has built strong relationships with many accomplished healthcare practitioners who will visit residents as identified by the Nursing Manager and agreed to by the person responsible for the payment of accounts. The following accounts are payable directly to the medical practitioner:

• Physiotherapy
• General practitioner services
• Wound care
• Dietician
• Speech therapist/ Occupational Therapist
• Manicuring and foot care
• Haircare

At all our Absolute Care Facilities, we make every effort to keep everyone secure, safe, and welcome, not only for our residents, but also for family and friends when visiting their loved ones. All our facilities are designed to enhance the lives of everyone living in our homes. All our facilities have beautiful outside areas, including patios and gardens.

At Heidelberg we have 2 sections caring for our residents, which consists of wards for our very frail residents as well as single/double units for residents needing daily care and prefer being in a single/double unit. In the wards and individual units there are care workers stationed on this floor with a call button system in place. We also do cater for Alzheimer’s / Dementia patients.
