Alexandra Park Scottburgh Old Age Home is a registered state-subsidised home for the aged. It’s situated in a suburb just two kilometres from the Scottburgh business centre.
This friendly home accommodates 80 Senior Citizens, including 40 frail care residents. Residents receive nursing care 24 hours per day.
The accommodation is made up of mostly single rooms and a few double rooms, all of which are furnished. Residents are also encouraged to bring their own furniture to personalise their homes.
Bed and bath linen is provided and the monthly fee includes three nutritious meals per day, morning and afternoon tea or coffee, laundering. There are TV points available in each room.
Alexandra Park Scottburgh Old Age Home is an “open home” so residents come and go as they wish, provided they inform the staff when they leave the home.
The home also caters for Independent Living for those who don’t need nursing services. There is a clinic though on the premises for the occasional need for the residents’ own account.
The Home also provides accommodation for patients needing convalescence services – after an operation or other treatment – as well as holiday care.
