Woodside Care Centre offers a secure environment for older adults who require assistance with daily living activities on a continuous basis. Our Frail Care Centre is focused not only on medical and nursing care but on holistic care geared towards creating an atmosphere of fun and joy. We provide avenues for self-expression and self-fulfilment through our Activities Programme.
Person-centric Care:
The Care Centre maintains a high standard of care and is managed by a professional team of nursing sisters and carers trained in senior care. Person-centric care is our focus and each person is valued and cared for in an individual manner with a personalised care programme. We recognise the importance of quality care and service to both residents and family members because we understand that our residents belong to a family and a community. Each aspect of their lives is equally important to our residents, and therefore to us.
Keeping active minds and bodies:
Our frail care activities programme, based on occupational health, psychology, and nursing principles, ensures that we keep our residents on their toes. A bit of fun, laughter and accomplishment every day is a given. We have a full-time activities coordinator onboard for activities, and for excursions to places in and around Cape Town such as Kirstenbosch Garden and Hout Bay Harbour.
Family first:
To us, family and friends are just as important as the resident themselves. This is a home and we want to encourage everyone to feel free to visit and socialise as much as possible. We have created family-friendly spaces and family activities such as braais and movie days to facilitate this.
