Our team members assist each resident to live as much as possible an independent lifestyle, always in a dignified and fulfilling manner. We see each of our residents for the individuals they are. Everyone has their own story, their needs, and abilities. We get to know each resident, and then develop personal care plans which promote their independence, and respect their individual preferences.
Our personalised approach to resident care encourages our residents to blossom during this stage in their lives. We believe the gift of life should always be celebrated. Our goal is to provide the facilities and opportunities that allow our residents to embrace and pursue those activities that energise and excite them.
Our holistic approach to Alzheimer’s care covers social, emotional, cognitive and physical stimulation through a series of rewarding and enjoying activities.
During admission, each resident and their families are interviewed by our multidisciplinary team of PMC in order to develop a personalised and individual care plan according to their lifestyle. Their history and needs are evaluated, based around their work life, self-care and leisure, and these are incorporated into their schedule. Companions between the ages of 45 and 60 assist residents with these daily activities, enabling the formation of strong friendships, which becomes an indispensable part of their care, adding warmth and purpose to their daily lives. The companions offer a safe space, where the resident can live according to their beliefs regarding religion, politics and history.
