Napier Retirement Village is located in the quaint historical village of Napier, 45mins from Hermanus and less than two hours’ scenic drive from Cape Town.
Situated on the top of a hill, overlooking open fields, Napier Retirement Village has been developed on the site of the town’s old school. The impressive buildings have been lovingly restored and this self-contained lifestyle village offers an abundance of character, old-world charm, peace and tranquility. This is the safest and most peaceful place to retire.
There are seven terraced houses, 25 cottages, 25 Assisted Living apartments and 19 Frail care beds available in the village.
Life at Napier Retirement Village revolves around the club house. This is where residents gather for meals in the Victorian dining room which opens out onto a covered terrace with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. The club house also contains the lounge and library, both with Wifi and bridge tables, an exercise room, swimming pool and the healthcare centre. Our professional team of nurses and carers are on 24hour call, ensuring residents receive the very best care at every level.
The perfect location for a top retirement village
Situated on the top of a hill, overlooking open fields of grazing livestock, barley and wheat, the ‘Ou Skool’ (“Old School”) is an impressive building boasting wooden floors, high ceilings and a rich history.
This old building was converted and lovingly restored to form the nucleus around which the Napier Retirement Village was designed.
Enjoying breath-taking country views, wide-open spaces, undulating farmlands and hills, our residents can relax in the comfort of beauty AND complete security.
In addition to the generous array of farm stalls, restaurants and shops in Napier, the area also boasts a wealth of natural attractions. These include:
- Africa’s most southern tip, Cape L’Agulhas, is just 30-minutes’ drive away
- The picturesque 200-year old fishing village, Arniston, is also close by
- Hermanus’ expansive beaches are just an hour’s drive away
- The De Hoop Coastal Nature Reserve is also within easy driving distance
- And, the small missionary village declared a national monument, Elim, is easily accessible
