There are seven terraced houses, 25 cottages, 25 Assisted Living apartments and 19 Frail care beds available in the village.
Life at Napier Retirement Village revolves around the club house. This is where residents gather for meals in the Victorian dining room which opens out onto a covered terrace with breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside. The club house also contains the lounge and library, both with Wifi and bridge tables, an exercise room, swimming pool and the healthcare centre. Our professional team of nurses and carers are on 24hour call, ensuring residents receive the very best care at every level.

This old building was converted and lovingly restored to form the nucleus around which the Napier Retirement Village was designed.

There are seven terraced houses, 25 cottages, 25 assisted living units and 19 health care beds.

Country cottages:

Featuring the Cape vernacular architecture, there’s a choice of one or two bedroom units set in a landscaped garden setting. Featuring thick walls, exposed rafters, tapered window reveals, courtyard gardens with ‘werf mure’ and terraces, the cottages offer charming country living.

Terraced houses:

What was once the ‘Ou Skool’s’ woodwork building, this wing was converted into three 2-bedroom units and three 1-bedroom units. Each unit has its own north facing terrace and beautiful country views. They also provide compact, convenient living at affordable prices.

Assisted living:

What was once the ‘Ou Skool’s’ classroom block, this new wing encloses a courtyard garden containing 25 assisted living units. It’s close to nursing assistance and the healthcare facility, has its own library and living and dining rooms. These units provide a safe haven with inward living for residents choosing a more manageable environment.

Club house and communal facilities:

What was the ‘Ou Skool saal’ (hall), now has been beautifully renovated and converted into the Club House.

Life at Napier Retirement Village revolves around the Club House. This is where residents gather for meals in a beautiful Victorian dining room which opens out onto a covered terrace featuring breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside.

Healthcare centre:

We have a professionally managed Healthcare Centre that offers a full range of nursing services. All units have panic buttons connected to the nurses’ station.

Four levels of healthcare are available:

Basic care:

24-hour nurse call availability.

Low care:

24hr nurse call availability, general monitoring and administration of medicines.

Medium care:

24hr nurse call availability, daily visits by nursing personnel and general monitoring, administration of medicines and assisted daily care.

Frail care

Residents stay in the healthcare centre. Here they receive administration of medicines, assisted daily care, daily visits by nursing personnel as well as a higher level of general monitoring.

This facility is also available for non residents as well as residents who require short term recovery and focused assistance for a period of time.
