Avondrust Court – Rondebosch

Earlier this year, CPOA and Twinkles Playschool joined forces to pilot the very first intergenerational playschool in South Africa. Not uncommon overseas, the intergenerational method has been recognized for its extensive benefits to both children and the elderly.

The space offers convenient outdoor and indoor areas which have been separated from the residents' living areas. Independent living apartments, a care centre and a memory care centre allow residents from across the spectrum to interact with the children.

Schonenberg Retirement Village Assisted Living Units – Somerset West

The Assisted Living units at Schonenberg Retirement Village are located on the first floor of the Health Care Centre. The units form part of the Health Care Centre and may be accessed via a lift or stairs. There are 13 units provided, ranging from 35 m2 to 48 m2.

The units are single roomed containing a lounge area, bedroom and kitchen area. A separate bathroom consisting of a basin, shower and toilet is provided for each unit.  Some units open onto a small balcony, and some have incorporated these into the units.
